For lovers of the comedy series, ‘How I Met Your Mother’, good news is here as a spin off starring Hilary Duff
The sequel called ‘How I Met Your Father’ will see the Lizzie McGuire star play Sophie, who takes her son through the journey of meeting his father in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
Here’s the description from Hulu: “In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.”
The show which already has straight-to-series order for 10 episodes at Hulu was brought together by the same team as HIMYM; Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger of This Is Us and Love, Victor, and original HIMYM creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas.
Hilary Duff excitedly shared the news on her Instagram page after the news broke.
Hilary Duff is attached to star in the #HowIMetYourMother sequel series: "As a huge fan of 'How I Met Your Mother,’ I’m honored and even a little nervous that Carter and Craig would trust me with the sequel of their baby."
