Cyril Olisema scored deep into stoppage time as Enyimba FC secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation with a 1-0 win against Orlando Pirates of South Africa Wednesday night.
Olisema bundled the ball home in the 95th minute after he was set up by substitute Tosin Omoyele to send the Peoples Elephants into raptures.
Following the victory, Enyimba clinched top spot in Group A with nine points from six games, though Orlando Pirates are also through to the quarter-finals having finished in second position.
In the other group match, Algeria’s Entente Setif also defeated Al Ahli Benghazi of Libya 1-0.
The victory was of little importance however as the Algerians had to settle for third position in the group.
