Jeff Bezoz’s ex-wife, Mackenzie Scott has Remarried

Mackenzie Scott, ex-wife of Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezoz has remarried, years after her high-profile divorce.

The philanthropist who has given away about $4.2 billion since her 2019 divorce, got married to Dan Jewett, a high school science teacher in her children’s school.

Giving Pledge philanthropy’s website shared the news of the marriage of Scott and Jewett with Bezoz also releasing a statement to that effect.

“Dan is such a great guy, and I am happy and excited for the both of them,” Jeff Bezoz said.

Mackenzie Scott who made the bulk of her fortune from her divorce from Jeff Bezoz ( she received 4% of Amazon shares as settlement) is worth around $53bn according to Forbes’s most recent estimate.

She has donated a substantial amount of her fortune to women-led charities, food banks and Black colleges and intends to give the majority of it away.

Ms Scott was married to Mr Bezos for 25 years and helped him start Amazon in 1994. She is also the author of two novels.
