THR is reporting that Jeremy Irons will be joining Lady Gaga in Gucci, a crime drama directed by Ridley Scott.
According to the sales section, the fashion-focused drama of true crime is based on the book The Gucci House: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor and Greed, and will focus on the murder of fashion powerhouse Maurizio Gucci.
Lady Gaga will play Patricia Reggiani, Gucci’s ex-wife who was convicted of orchestrating his hit after he had an affair.
Other stars who will appear in the film include Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Jack Huston and Reeve Carney, and Driver plays Maurizio Gucci, who learns to be ruthless by expanding the Gucci empire.
Irons will play Maurizio’s father, Rodolfo Gucci.
