#jaiyeorie The suspected child trafficker Ekene Duru and his accomplice were arrested by people from the Enugu Rapid Response Squad for stealing 2 children from Abia State and their store in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to a woman selling them to couples yet to have children of their own.
During interrogation, Ekene admitted to stealing children under the age of two
'' About how to get kids to follow him, Ekene said I buy them a biscuit or an egg. After I steal them, I will get on a motorcycle or tricycle. No one stops to ask me who owns the baby, and the baby won’t cry when I carry them either. Ekene said he has so far stolen only two children and sold them both. He said he sold one stolen child for N200,000 and another for N100,000. His accomplice, Chinonso Sylvanus, claimed that Ekene had arranged for him to steal the children.
