Woman accused of setting up Texas State University football player who was robbed and killed

A Texas State University football player was shot dead Tuesday during a faulty drug deal at a residential neighborhood in San Marcos, Texas. Khambrail Winters, 20, and two friends, Enalisa Blackman and Michael Ifeanacho, both 20, went to the Lodge Apartments on Aquerena Springs Drive 1975 on Tuesday night to buy 2 ounces of marijuana. Blackman met with two men at the apartment complex to buy weed. But the men tried to rob Winters and he was hit in the chest. San Marcos police responded to reports of shootings in apartments. When police arrived around 9 p.m., they found Winters not responding with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. #jaiyeorie

Police arrested Blackman and Ifeanacho and charged them with murder. In Texas, individuals can be charged with capital murder if they are involved in the commission of a crime that results in death.

Two male suspects are still at large. Police say the apartment complex's video surveillance system was inoperable.
