70-year-old man ‘impregnates’ granddaughter in Ogun State

 

 Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 70-year-old man, Hunsu Sunday, for allegedly impregnating his 15-year-old granddaughter. He was arrested Tuesday after the victim's aunt reported her to police. State police public relations officer Abimbola Oyeyemi revealed this in a statement on Friday. Oyeyemi said the aunt filed the complaint at the headquarters of the Ado-Odo / Ota division that the victim has been living with her grandfather since her mother's disappearance. According to the PPRO, the aunt further stated that the victim reported that her grandfather had been abusing her for quite some time and that he was feeling strangely feelings recently. He added: “Following the complaint, DPO Ado-Odo SP Michael Arowojeun detailed his detectives to the point where he quickly arrested the old man. "During interrogation, she confessed to having carnal knowledge of her granddaughter but stated that she did not know the victim was pregnant. "The victim has been taken to hospital for medical treatment." The PPRO, however, said Police Commissioner Edward Ajogun ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Trafficking and Child Labor Unit of the State Department of Criminal Investigation and Information by to its subsequent investigation and
