The former Blues center-half is not convinced by the options currently at Stamford Bridge and wants to see transfer funds invested in this area.

Chelsea must bring their own version of Virgil van Dijk, says Frank Leboeuf, with Frank Lampard being asked to land a 'big guy' at the back in the summer transfer window.

The Blues have already started to invest heavily in new faces, with deals made for Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.


There is the promise of more business to come at Stamford Bridge, with Roman Abramovich set to fund more signings following a top-four finish and Champions League football secured.
