Mr. Olumide Akpata, former President of Nigeria's Commercial Law Section (NBA-SBl), emerged the 30th President of the NBA.
Akpata won 9,891 votes to defeat two senior defenders: Mr. Dele Adesina and Dr. Babatunde Ajibade.
Ajibade received 4,328 votes and Adesina 3,982 votes.
The 2020 election at NBA national offices opened at 11 p.m. on Wednesday (July 29) with a total of 29,635 accredited voters, and ended at 11 p.m. Thursday (July 30)

The election results were announced by the Chairman of the NBA Electoral Committee (ECNBA) Judge Tawo.E. Tawo.
Other elected officials for the various offices include Mr. John Aikpokpo-Martins as First Vice President of the NBA with a total of 6,010 votes.
Mr. Adeyemo Kazeem emerged As NBA Second Vice President with 8,794 votes, Ms. Joyce Oduah was elected NBA General Secretary with 8,979 votes, while
Ms. Uchenna Nwadialo won 7,314 votes to be released as deputy general secretary of the NBA.
Ms. Mercy Agada was elected NBA Treasurer without opposition.
Mr. Nnamdi Anagor emerged the unopposed financial secretary, while Mr. Olukunle Edun was elected NBA Welfare Secretary with 9,001 votes.
