Megan Thee Stallion Speaks on Gunshot Wounds

Megan Thee Stallion, an American rapper, took to social media to reveal that she was injured on Sunday morning, following claims she was arrested along with rapper Tory Lanez, who was accused of carrying a murdered weapon.

Megan says she is "grateful to be alive" and is expected to make a full recovery.

Over the weekend, reports claimed that Tory Lanez was arrested on a gun charge and the song was present in the car at the time of the Hollywood Hills incident.

However she took her Instagram page on Wednesday to make clarifications after an online face video showing her bleeding from her leg as police stopped a car also delivering Lanez.

“I was never arrested. This whole experience was an eye-opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy,” she wrote.
“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events is inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight.
“On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds; as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.
“I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where l underwent surgery to remove the bullets.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery. But it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.
“I’m currently focused on my recovery; so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.”
