After 16-year-old Cyntoia Brown is sentenced to life in prison, questions about her past, physiology and the law itself call her guilt into question.
When the trailer for the documentary was released, Cyntoia Brown-Long took to her Instagram page to make it very clear this project is “unauthorized” and she had absolutely nothing to do with it nor did she get paid for it.
She wrote:
While I was still incarcerated, a producer who has old footage of me mada a deal with Netflix for an UNAUTHRIZED documentay, set to be released soon.
My husband and I were as surprised as everyone else when we first heard the news because we did not participate in any way.
However, I am currently in the process of sharing my story, in the right way, in full detail, and in a way that depicts and respects the woman I am today.
While I pray that this film highlights things wrong in our justice system, I had nothing to do with this documentary.

The key is : Learn how to BE HAPPY BY YOURSELF FIRST.
Because a human being that is happy on his/her own will never settle to be miserable with someone else.
When you find happiness on your own then you will be able to spread it and share it with someone else.
