
Funke Akindele-Bello and Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz, have pleaded guilty to the 1 count charge of defiling the orders of the Lagos state government on public gatherings and social distancing.
Funke JJC was arrested for arresting a house party at Amen Manor on Saturday, April 4, despite restrictions on the state government’s movement and social distance as part of measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the state.
Akindele and her husband both pleaded guilty after being charged. The judge is expected to give his verdict.
The Lagos state government and state police commanded the couples separately on Monday morning, April 6, before the establishment of the Supreme Court in Ogba. The Lagos State administration and the state police commanded a closure order to check the spread of the coronavirus for the alleged violation. The prosecution was filed by Justice Moyosore Onigbanjo.
