Meghan Markle 's best friend Jessica Mulroney had to spend her 40th birthday in isolation due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.The Canadian stylist had her milestone birthday on Saturday but was quarantined among attempts across the globe to slow down the spread of the fatal virus.
Posting to her 385,000 followers on Instagram, the mum-of-three showed that she wasn't going to let a global pandemic spoil her big day.
She posted: "Quarantine birthday is the new rage and I'm not mad about it."
It is believed that Jessica herself is not presenting any symptoms but she is reportedly friends with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife Sophie, who has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently battling it in isolation herself.
Sophie is one of over 330 Canaidians who have tested positive to Covid-19 and Jessica is hired as her stylist, hence her decision to self-isolate.
Jessica's 40th was still celebrated, with her husband Ben, the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, posting a sweet tribute to his wife.
He called her "the most generous and giving soul I have ever met" in his gushing Instagram post.
