Netflix stock saw a nearly four percent rise on Tuesday, a day after the company filed favorable revenue data with the SEC.
Stock closed at $315.48 but managed to hit $316 during the day. The stock rise was clocked at 3.7 percent.
The rise in stock comes a day after Netflix 'released historical streaming revenue, membership and average revenue per paying streaming membership by region.'
In the Monday SEC filing, Netflix shared close to three years' worth of financial information and broke up their results by region: United States and Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Latin America and the Asia-Pacific.
And for Several Wall Street analysts, the company appears to be doing exceptionally well on international growth.
In a note to clients on Tuesday, Morgan Stanley analyst Ben Swinburne shared that Netflix's pricing power is 'intact' in many areas of the world.
Swinburne has an 'overweight' (buy) rating on Netflix shares, with a 12-month price target of $400.
'Strong growth in even emerging markets like Latin America highlights the ability to sustain growth years after launch, with opportunity ahead in Asia,' Swinburne wrote in his note, according to Deadline.
Michael Morris, an analyst with Guggenheim, indicated several reasons for 'value creation optimism' in a Tuesday note to clients.
'As Netflix continues to pursue global growth, we expect the company will experiment with and in multiple cases deploy lower price point offers to expand the user base. Important to value creation will be the input cost to pursue these lower-average monthly revenue subscribers,' Morris said.
'We believe that Netflix financial performance will incrementally reflect the scale benefit of global content investments, which are characterized by both broad consumer appeal across cultures (particularly with the significant expansion of film content) and uniform global availability across markets.'
In a blog post, Lightshed Partners' Rich Greenfield said that the numbers were not surprising and supported the wave of the company.
'Simply put, the global growth opportunity is significant, particularly as Netflix leverages as large US content base and invests heavily in local/regional content,' Greenfield wrote in a blog post.
'It is not hard to imagine Netflix reaching 200-250 million international subscribers in the future.'
Netflix is scheduled to report its fourth-quarter and full-year results on January 21. How is your day going.... Share...…
