After 5 years in production, The Audrey Sylvia Company has given fans the first teaser of their highly anticipated neo-noir crime thriller La Femme Anjola.
Set in Lagos and Cape Town, La Femme Anjola tells the story of a young stockbroker Dejare who falls in love with Anjola ,but she married to a rich gangster.
The film is written by Tunde Babalola, f award-winning The Meeting and Kunle Afolayan’s opus October 1 fame .
La Femme Anjola is directed by "Surul’ere" Mildred Okwo. The film stars Rita Dominic and The Voice finalist Nonso Bassey in lead roles; Dominic plays the titular character plays Anjola Kalu, the wife of Night club owner Odera Kalu (Chris Iheuwa) who falls for a young Stock Broker and part-time sax player, Dejare Johnson (Nonso Bassey) and turns his world upside down.
Femi Jacobs returns as a member of the cast after starring in Audrey Silva’s award winning blockbuster.
‘La Femme Anjola’ tells the story of love, lust, greed and the Nigerian dream with major appearances from Kenyan star, Mumbi Maina, Bikiya Graham Douglas,Jumoke Aderounmu, Brutus Richard, BBNaija star, Bassey 'Ekpenyong , Mumbi Maini, Ego Boyo, Uzor OsimkpaBrowny Igboegwu and Shawn Faqua. Soso Soberekon makes his debut in the Nollywood movie.

La Femme Anjola might be the game-changer as the production design is top standar with Okwo, her cinematographer Jonathan Kovel, production designer Kelechi Odu and costumier Yolanda Okereke create Hollywood’s film noir aesthetic updated to reflect a modern Nigeria.
“Every single department had to work hard to earn their keep on this set. It’s an ambitious script and we executed it with very limited funds compared to Hollywood or Chinese filmmakers” states Okwo.
“Consider that in a space of 6 months we have built major sets, shot in various locations in Lagos, Cape Town and Johannesburg caused several explosions, you will realize that we have outdone ourselves to finish this film. We went all out to give our audience a kind of thrill not so common in our industry, I hope they enjoy it”, Okwo adds.
