Toyin Lawani has reveals how she battles with fibroid for 13years and had 3 surgeries.
In one of her post during her campaign and Awareness on Fibroid, she shared some little secrets about fibroid and also shares some of her story to back it up.

Did you know Fibriod causes constant bleeding during pregnancy ? I was Already pregnant with my ist child when I discovered I had them , But didn’t know ontime , felt I had spiritual problems I was 23,.Number one Due to my Fibriod’s I didn’t know I was pregnant till I was 4months Go e, it happened with both my pregnancies, I was legitimately seeing my normal period , just knew something was wrong,cause it wasn’t heavy like before and I started feeling heavy , went to hospital they said I was pregnant, I’m like what, but I’ve been doing period na, didn’t know it was Fibriod’s then cause I didn’t check , until I went to hv the baby in UK and they discovered it, trust me no jokes I bled through out my whole 9months , it was scary but got used to it, my ist pregnancy was ok ,just the bleeding, there was space of 9years between my kids , so it gave the Fibriod’s time to grow , had the surgeries and by the time I knew i was going to have a hysterectomy I decided to try for a second baby , doctors advice, I went against all odds to hv him , at that time a lot of people felt I made a bad decision, but at the end of the day they don’t get to wear your shoes . ‘This was 2014 ,my ist major cut ,I had both my kids naturally &I was avoiding D surgery 4yrs jst cse I was avoiding dat big scar, so went 4D surgeries with D small holes ,But lemme share this experience with u, I was booked 4d surgery in UK already, had 3month 2it, So planned a 3days celebration 4my birthday, D last one I lodge I &my kids&family at federal palace hotel for the pool party, after the party , I & my nanny took d kids up, went 3d toilet 2pee, then I felt I was on my period, nxt thing I saw chunks of blood ,well dt’s hw my period use 2be then, until I noticed it wasn’t stopping, in a min I felt like they killed a cow in d bathroom, d floor was covered in clothed blood like kidney size ,picked up D phone cld my doc he was far , This was 2am , didn’t wnt 2scare d kids so told my nanny 2come in ,at ds time I found my way in d tub & d blood jst kept gushing , bled 4 like 30mins ,tryn 2 call 4 help & didn’t wnt 2tell d hotel CSE I didn’t want it in d news, at ds point I was getting very tired& I said 2myself wow this is hw people die & ist thing dt came 2my mind was my kids, whn I realized it wasn’t gonna stop ,I told her 2tell Tiannah 2come in , she’s d strongest child I’ve ever seen, she looked scared but tld her I will be ok , tld her 2watch her brother , took d hotel robe&used btwn my legs wore my big bubu , my nanny helped me up , wore my shades & walked out of D hotel ,my driver had gone home bt dropped d key,drove 2Reddington in vi, on getting to their compound d gateman was chatting some shit abt parking ,I came down wit blood splashing everywhere,& fell,dt was all I remember, whn I woke up ,dey said dey stopped d bleeding &I needed a surgery ASAP, called @celebdr dey moved me 2 ave Maria , I was scared of sleeping so dey paralyzed me through it , so my eyes were open ,it got 2a point I started screaming, I felt every pain, frm d cutting, 2d lasering of my uterus , it was awful, dey quickly gv me a jab& knocked me out, whn I woke up I saw my beautiful kids playing with my hair ,I smiled,Fibriod is not a joke,imagine doing several surgeries & hvn it comebackon a herb now& one went already,will share details later after my next scan. #FAWARENESS’
