Infenro breaks out on flat block opposite Grenfell Tower

Residents of a block of flats opposite Grenfell Tower were left terrified today after a fire broke out on a balcony and reportedly started spreading upwards.

Around 60 firefighters rushed to the tower block in Darfield Way, north Kensington after smoke was seen billowing up the side of the building shortly before midday.

For many in the area, the fire brought back horrific memories of the night of the Grenfell Tower blaze two years ago.

One resident of the block said she got out as soon as she smelled smoke, adding: 'Everyone is thinking of Grenfell.'
