Karen Lashun Harrison, 26, was charged with felony murder, cruelty to children and simple battery. A Georgia mother is facing felony murder charges after she dropped her 3-month-old baby boy during a fight with another woman.
Harrison fought with another woman outside of a beauty supply store in Moultrie, Georgia, while holding her 3-month-old in her arm.
The baby fell from Karen’s arm and hit the pavement. Another woman at the scene retrieved the baby as Karen and the other woman continued to fight.
The next day, the baby was taken to the hospital with a head injury and later died.
Karen Harrison lied to police and told them the baby was injured when a family friend, Carneata Clark, accidentally dropped him.
Carneata corroborated the story. She has been charged with making false statements and obstruction of an officer.
Well, the woman who attacked Karen while she was holding her baby boy has NOT been charged.
Moultrie Police Lt. Freddie Williams says more arrests are possible.
