Priyanka Chopra Jonas has partnered with skin care company- Obagi Skincare to flag the campaign- SKINCLUSION
Obagi’s skinclusion initiative celebrates diversity and inclusion around the globe, and features actor, producer and activist, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has been dedicated to fighting for inclusion and diversity over the course of her 20-year career as its ambassador.
Obagi Medical developed this important and timely initiative to elevate the global dialogue about diversity and how we can all make conscious choices to see the beauty in all of our differences. To be fully inclusive, we all must recognize our own unconscious biases, which can cause “blind spots” that prevent us from seeing the beautiful humanity we all share. If we are able to uncover and overcome our own biases, we can choose to be conscious, be fearless and be beautiful.” .
Speaking on her reservation about skin products, Priyanka says “Most high-end, luxury products are not made for people of color, so why the hell are we buying creams for 'all skin types'?” .
Speaking on the campaign, Priyanka Chopra says “what I really hope that people take away from this campaign is that skincare can be extremely personal, and that skincare and inclusion are not "aspirational." It doesn't have to be an “all skin types” product with a beautiful bottle that costs hundreds of dollars. It doesn't need to be that”
She says skinclusion should “really make other beauty brands sit up and see that what Obagi has done is revolutionary, ifthey have been doing it for 30 years, why is everyone else so far behind?"
