AMVCA winner Kemi Lala Akindoju writes; Last week I was telling Yolanda Okereke that producing #TheSmartMoneyWoman tv series is definitely one of the hardest things I’ve done in my career. Another important part of my role on this project is casting the right people in the right roles alongside @smartmoneyarese who created these characters. Sometimes you’re not sure, but you just go with your gut. .
As we got closer to production, I was almost certain that Karibi was our BODE and when he came to read, we were all convinced. Then we had to find his wife LADUN, we had many good actors but somehow, Karibi & Ebenezer had the best chemistry and I’m so glad we decided to cast them. .
.
Through all the stress and challenges, watching playbacks and seeing stills like this give me joy. My director and DP are working overtime to ensure we have the best picture and I AM LOVING IT. .
.
