100k Followers on Twitter - Tobi Bakre's Rise From BBNaija Housemate to Major Nigerian Entertainment Figure

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) former housemate, Tobi Bakre has made 100,000 followers on Twitter, and he is celebrating it.
“100k Twitter followers. Oya let’s carry shoulder. You know how sweet that first 100 is. Then the first 1000. The 10,000.

Now first 100,000 Twitter fam. Bless you all. You are all amazing . Love you guys,” he celebrated.

How sweet is the first 100,000 followers?

For former Big Brother Naija housemate Tobi Bakre, the milestone was worth celebrating as his Twitter community reached the 100,000 mark.

Bakre took to Twitter to celebrate the achievement, reflecting on the smaller milestones that eventually led to the six-figure following.

The milestone came after Bakre gained significant public attention following his appearance on Big Brother Naija in 2018. He went on to become one of the season's finalists, helping establish his profile beyond the reality-TV show.

But his social-media growth did not begin entirely with BBNaija. In a 2018 interview, Bakre said he already had more than 25,000 social-media followers before entering the Big Brother house, pointing to an audience he had built through his activities before reality television.

From 100 to 1,000 to 100,000

Bakre's celebration highlighted something familiar about social media growth: major milestones are built from smaller ones.

First came the first 100 followers.

Then 1,000.

Then 10,000.

Reaching 100,000 represented another significant step for the reality star, whose career was increasingly expanding into entertainment, presenting, modelling, photography and acting.

For former reality-TV contestants, social media can become an important bridge between their time on television and their careers afterwards.

A growing online audience can provide a direct connection to fans while also increasing visibility for new projects, brand partnerships and entertainment opportunities.

Bakre's 100,000-follower milestone therefore represented more than a number on a Twitter profile. It was another indication of the audience he had built around his public career.

And considering that every large following starts somewhere, how far can Tobi Bakre's social-media journey go from here?
