Empire actor, Jussie Smollett has been indicted on 16 felony counts of disorderly conduct by a Cook County grand jury.

The first set of charges are from the actor’s initial testimony about his attack, and the second from his second interview with police later that same day.
According to the indictment, Smollett told Chicago police he was attacked by two masked men who used racial and homophobic slurs during an attack on him at 2 a.m. Police detained two Nigerian brothers, Ola and Abel Osunrinde in mid-February.

Smollett had pleaded not guilty in February after the investigation into his alleged racist attack revealed he may staged it out of dissatisfaction with his Empire salary. The men were released without being charged.
One of Smollett’s attorneys has described the indictment as a “prosecutorial overkill”, also adding that it is “redundant and vindictive”.

Smollett will be arraigned on Thursday.📎 🤔COMMENT BELOW... CRITIC ALSO 🖋️ 📜 🗺️ 😂 ... spill TEA ☕ Easy on Shade 💣 COMMENT BELOW... CRITIC ALSO 🇳🇬 #jaiyeorie 🗺️
