JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series and writer of the Fantastic Beasts movie series, came under fire yesterday for her comments during an interview she gave as part of a special feature for the BluRay release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
In the interview, she said the characters Dumbledore and Grindelwald were in a relationship, one with a “sexual dimension, even though that was not hinted at all in the book or movies. And her reason is: “I’m less interested in the sexual side – though I believe there is a sexual dimension to this relationship – than I am in the sense of the emotions they felt for each other, which ultimately is the most fascinating thing about all human relationship.”
Fans didn’t like that; in fact, they think she is deceptively trying to align with the LGBTQ community for ‘brownie points’ which is why they are roasting her on social media.
