2gay men caught having sex in a community in South Africa, were spotted in a video being assaulted with a shovel and paraded naked round the community.

The gay men caught having sex were assaulted with shovel by residents of the community who described what the act as a “taboo”. While being paraded outside naked, they were slapped and beaten with shovel, sticks amongst other things.

On the African continent, South Africa leads the way for marriage equality and legal protection against discrimination. It is also said to be the first country in the world to protect against discrimination based on sexual orientation, and the fifth to legalize same-sex marriage.Here is the video below;
