B2K Talk Conflict Resolution & Lack of R&B Groups Today

#jaiyeorie After spending years apart, the men of B2K have reunited for the 2019 Millennium Tour. In an exclusive interview with EBONY, the group shares how they handle conflict with one another differently than they did as teens. The crew also discusses why they feel there are so few music groups today compared to the 1990s and early 2000s, with Boog believing the financial restructuring of record labels plays a major factor.

“The industry has changed their methods. Paying four guys in this day and age…there just [isn’t] enough money. The deals change, they became smaller. If you know what a 360 deal is, it’s really not a lot of money, so you don’t have a lot of time to develop. Groups like this need artist development.

Fizz added that the lack of camaraderie among artists today plays a part as well.

“Everybody’s on social media and wants to be like, ‘look at MY followers! Look how much I’ve got,’ versus coming together and being like, ‘Yo, let’s do something dope.’”📎 🤔COMMENT BELOW... CRITIC ALSO 🖋️ 📜 🗺️ 😂 ... spill TEA ☕ Easy on Shade 💣 COMMENT BELOW... CRITIC ALSO 🇳🇬 #jaiyeorie 🗺️
