Nigerian lady sets Virgin Mary’s statue ablaze in Enugu jaiyeorie

A Nigerian lady caused a scene as she set a Virgin Mary statue ablaze at St. Jacob’s Parish, Orba, Enugu State.

According to reports, the incident occurred this morning after Mass.

It was understood that the anonymous lady waited for the end of the morning mass before entering the cave of the Virgin Mary with a gallon of gasoline and burning it. The suspect was then apprehended and she is being interrogated to find out why she is doing so.The statue of the Virgin Mary is sacred to Catholics. In the Catholic Church, the veneration of Mary, the mother of Jesus, encompasses various Marian devotions such as prayer, pious acts, visual arts, poetry and music dedicated to her.
