Christina Aguilera just secured her own Las Vegas residency.

According to a report from UPI.com, The 38-year-old pop legend announced during Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she would begin her residency at the Zappos Theatre at Planet Hollywood.
When speaking with Ellen in front of her audience, she said, “I’m going to do a residency in Vegas!” In recent years, stars and entertainers have begun securing Las Vegas residencies as a way of earning money without having to travel long distances.
In the past, residencies were usually for retired entertainers, but this has changed significantly over the years. When speaking with Ellen, the star explained that it would make her life a lot easier, considering she has an 11-year-old son to take care of with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman.
She also has a four-year-old daughter with her fiancé, Matthew Ruttler. On the show, Christina discussed how great it was to finally establish a deal with the Zappos Theatre after years of deliberation. In a tweet you can see below, the singer shares the day the tickets go on sale.
In June, Christina released her latest album called, Liberation, which landed at number 6 on the Billboard 200. It features singles like “Accelerate,” and “Fall in Line.” This year, Christina joins the likes of Cardi B, Lady Gaga, and Wayne Newton who all kick off their shows in Las Vegas.
