Buhari Appoints Adamu Mohammed As The New IGP To Replace  Ibrahim Idris  jaiyeorie
According to various reports, President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Adamu Mohammed, a former commissioner of police in Enugu state as the new acting inspector-general of police (IGP), to replace the departing Ibrahim Idris 
There had been rumours that the tenure of Idris was to be extended, a plot which the opposition PDP kicked against vehemently. Idris completed his mandatory 35 years in service on January 3rd.
Muhammed was the AIG in charge of Zone 5 Benin, and was also a deputy commissioner of police in Ekiti state and had served at the Interpol and also became an assistant inspector general of police.
