Ghana Might Tax Anointing Oil & Other Items sold by Pastors

The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority,Emmanuel Kofi Nti, has revealed that the country has made plans to set taxes on the anointing oil, stickers and other items sold by the churches.

Punch reports that the decision, backed by Nana Akufo-Addo's countryman, is backed by how churches have moved from giving charity to wealth accumulation.
Kofi Nti said:
The man of God; is he not an individual? And is he not accountable to the state for his tax obligations? There is an opportunity for us to look at it.
He was said to have fingered specifically Bishop Daniel Obinim, a popular pastor in the country, saying of his stickers: “it is income to him.”
