Kemi Olunloyo wrote:
“As a prophetic Investigative Journalist, I found my tweet and archived it. A week ago I predicted this. I watched Daniel Anidugbe grow up and was really surprised when he collaborated with #Davido a reckless mannerless young boy.
I even told you the song #OneTicket was cryptic. Sadly the phenomenal event was violent. In my dream Davido’s mom Vero said to me that her son has not made her proud. At her funeral, I remember David was 10yo going on 11yo with a blank expression on his face.
I worry when young ppl lose parents. The same way many of us in the industry are watching on Jesse and D’Lila, Kim’s twins and of course Christian and Quincy. Justin, Chance and of course Diddy will guide them all.
Nobody is guiding Davido. Money is guiding him and Money can never buy real character. The list of apologies grows.”...


In December 2018, Olunloyo wrote on social media that she had dreamed about Davido’s late mother.


According to reports quoting her post, Olunloyo claimed that Veronica told her that her son had not made her proud.


Olunloyo also referred to remembering Davido as a child at his mother's funeral, saying he was around 10 or 11 years old at the time.


The claim was therefore Olunloyo's account of a dream, rather than a documented conversation between her and Davido's mother.


The statement came amid an increasingly public feud between Olunloyo and Davido.


At the time, Olunloyo was commenting critically on the singer and his behaviour, while also presenting herself as a prophetic investigative journalist.


She linked her comments to events surrounding Davido and fellow musician Kizz Daniel, including the controversy surrounding their song One Ticket and an incident at Davido's Lagos concert.


Her reference to Davido's late mother made the comments considerably more personal.

Olunloyo went beyond the alleged dream.She argued that Davido was not being adequately guided and wrote that money could not substitute for character.


Her comments reflected the highly critical position she had taken toward the singer at the time.


The claims were reported by Nigerian entertainment publications in December 2018, but they should be understood as Olunloyo's statements and allegations, rather than independently verified statements from Davido's late mother.
