Michelle Obama sat down with Chimamanda Adichie to discuss her life and experiences within and outside the White House in London, on December 3.
Michelle Obama has written and is now publishing her autobiography, Becoming. We told you earlier about the discussion of the book that will be organized by our own Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Well, the highly anticipated event has come and gone, and as we expected, the discussion was profound.
Only 15 days after his release, becoming the record-breaking record for becoming the best-selling book of 2018, which does not come as a surprise because it was written by the first black American first lady. Michelle Obama is, however, far more than that, she is also a feminist and an inspiration for many young black women.
At this event, she also joked about meeting Queen Elizabeth, who simply told her and Obama to "come in" when she was worried about the royal protocol. She also discussed her battle with swindler syndrome despite being seen as a "symbol of hope" for many young women.
