🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 When One Man’s Poison Is Another Woman’s Meat – Let’s Talk About Nigeria, DJ Cuppy and King Wole reacts

DJ Cuppy wished Nigeria a happy independence day with a simple tweet, “Today, we experience the joy and pride of being called NIGERIANS! The greatest nation. #NigeriaAt58 #NigerianIndependeceDay,” she tweeted.
Lol... trolls think her tweet wasn’t needed as she is not the reason for Nigeria’s woes, some think she is not empathetic because she comes from a wealthy family and isn’t affected by Nigeria’s situation.

I get really angry every year when October 1 comes around because what you see is Nigerians who refuse to say the truth about what a messed up country it really is.

How do you go about fixing something if you don’t admit it’s faulty? Are you not tired of these stupid lies?
— Wᴏʟᴇ́ (@Kingwole) October 2, 2018

And you, the child of one of the richest men in the country, who has studied abroad, lived abroad, visited multiple first world counties, can fix your fingers to call it “The Greatest”?

Does it mean you are happy with the way Nigeria is? DFPMO!
— Wᴏʟᴇ́ (@Kingwole) October 2, 2018

I don’t care who gets offended by this. Someone close to her has to start talking to her about this shit. She’s always coming across as insensitive.

— Wᴏʟᴇ́ (@Kingwole) October 2, 2018

What has Dj Cuppy done to deserve all these hate? Is it a crime to be born into a rich family?

— Tomiwa Talabi (@itsTomiwa) October 2, 2018

LMAOO. You people left your travel blogger president and started blaming Cuppy. Una no well

— Otedola (@MrOkeke_) October 2, 2018

Can’t believe people are triggered by Cuppy calling Nigeria “greatest Nation”.
How can you be triggered by someone’s point of view towards their own country?
It’s like telling your parents not to see you as a great child because other children are greater than you.

There is some element of truth in this, I am the same age as cuppy, never seen the inside of an airplane, I don't even have international passport, her shoes are more expensive than my father's house and you think I wouldn't be pissed, haba https://t.co/Y6nchKoHT9

— Adejumoke (@susiebull) October 2, 2018

I'm really sick and tired of people who use every tiny opportunity to insult and say mean things to Cuppy and her sister because they are privileged kids… it's not their fault.

Buckle up so your kids can live privileged lives too.
It's really disgusting
— Brownie (@Omotee_13) October 2, 2018

Leah Sharibu and the other victims of the insurgent attacks can’t say the same Cuppy. Nigeria isn’t a great nation, it’s a shithole. https://t.co/1DphDMAIYg

— Liz (@Liz_khalifar) October 2, 2018

This is why people say the rich are removed from the lives of the poor. Students were killed in Jos less than three days ago. Without so much as pen in the news papers. Which yeye joy and smelly pride are you talking about pls. Joy to be alive but not as a Nigerian. a ♠️ = ♠️

— MockoPolIs (@mockopolis) October 1, 2018

Aunty cuppy I love you but sorry to say you are MAD..Next time instead of ‘WE’ use ‘I’…it goes a long way, much love from your biggest fan..

— uwadia ik david (@IkUwadia) October 1, 2018

If not that I like you I would have insulted you please stop saying nonsense Nigeria no great , rich people are the ones enjoying it

— sharon  (@sharonc15804130) October 1, 2018

You have fully captured everything that is wrong with cuppy's post. Thank you

— AngelGabriel (@Gbrlk573) October 3, 2018

There’s currently crisis in jos, WE ARE NOT ALL EXPERIENCING THE JOY OF BEING A NIGERIAN, WE OR I MEAN ME! I AM SCARED AND SAD
