The Liberian government says it is investigating the unexplained disappearance of two enormous shipments of Liberian dollar tickets printed abroad and introduced in the country between November 2017 and August 2018. The total amount of two money shipments that have disappeared is approximately $ 60 million. According to media reports, the money containers left the capital's port, Monrovia, under escort in March. The convoy went to the central bank but disappeared. The ministry of justice asks the population to remain calm while a group of researchers composed of senior security officials investigate the disappearance.
