Reno Omokri began tithing controversy explaining what to do and would not happen if someone did not pay tithing. There was a furious controversy about the issue of tithing payments to Christians and many influential Nigerians shared the discourse. Over time, many pastors around Nigeria have warned their followers that they will experience some serious consequences if they refuse to pay tithes but divide the Nigerians. While some feel that pastors are so overwhelming in the issue or outside of the right, others are conscious that they are right and speak from the Bible. Now, Reno Omokri, who himself was a pastor, joined the discussion as he gave his own opinion.
According to him, if a person does not pay tithes, the person will suffer no grave consequence and will not die as some pastors have often claimed. He went on to give examples of people who never paid any tithe but went on to make a lot of money.
