Sometimes God calms the storm in our lives and at other times, he calms us as we go thru it because our testimonies will be a beacon of hope and light for those who will later travel that same path. Because you went thru the fire and came out stronger, someone else will walk and not crumble in it, someone else will make it thru to the other side.
Last week I met with the beneficiaries of the #1lesswoman campaign and it was truly so inspiring. Now while I battled fibroids, I never imagined anything good will come out of the pain and then I met these ladies who are about to have their operations and I instantly knew my pain had birth purpose. It was worth it, I can be a blessing to another human being? It’s the greatest feeling ever.
Thank you to Dr Alabi and the brilliant team of doctors at @southshorelagos for coming on this journey with me, thank you 🙏.they not only have their fibroids taken out for free, the pre/after is without a charge too. Thank you.
picking these two women was a tough job as we had so many entries, it took a while, there was so many tears, a lot of emotions to last a life time and of course the tough decision. Reading from so many women, learning their journey, (the amount of women battling this ordeal will shock you). Some have lost pregnancies, some have had their lives totally disrupted I really wish we could do more free surgeries but this is only the beginning. Congrats to our winners, I can’t wait till you come out on the other side ladies, I know the struggle, I also know the victory song. Thank you God for giving me purpose, thank you for providing, thank you for connecting us cos believe it or not, we all need each other to make a little heaven on earth. If you were not selected, pls don’t give up, we will do this again next year and I pray we get to do it even bigger ❤️
