Tekashi 69 Flies to Texas to Post Bail

    Tekashi 69 made due his promise by going to Texas to post his bail. Remember that the rapper was arrested in New York last week for choking a 16-year-old boy. Tekashi appeared in court one day later for his bail at the hearing but a judge refused to feel that he could flee the country if he was to be released before his extradition in Texas.

The rapper was later  moved to Rikers Island over health concerns, and eventually a judge granted him $150,000 bail if he agreed to fly back to Harris County, Texas to post bail in person. Now, he has gone to post his bail in Texas, proving to the judge that he would never flee the country because of the charge against him.
TMZ reports that the 22-year-old artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, hopped on a flight, surrendered, and posted a $5,000 bail payment after midnight Monday morning. His is expected to be arraigned on Friday.
“I’ve been very remorseful for my lack of responsibility. In the short time I’ve been incarcerated, I’ve learned my lesson to be more respectful,” he reportedly had told a Manhattan judge on Thursday, according to the New York Daily News adding, “I’m not asking you to have sympathy for me.


I’m not asking you for anything else at all. All I ask is to please post bail for this misdemeanor case in which I promise you and the court to take the first flight to Houston, Texas, in which I will have a legal team there ready to speed up the process.”


His misdemeanor charge carries a maximum one-year sentence
