Suspect, Segun Mabaoreje Escapes From Court Room, Jumps Into Canal To Evade Trial
There was a slight drama, after a suspect thief, Mr. Segun Mabaoreje, suddenly escaped from the Lagos courtroom, fled and jumped to a channel to escape the test. The incident happened in the magistrates' room that was in Ejigbo, in Lagos, where the suspect, Mr. Mabaoreje, was filed by indictment. Nevertheless, it knew his party since as much the civil servants of the court as the men of security persecuted it. Security men plunged into the channel, seized him and brought him back to the court room where he was finally charged. The prosecutor, inspector G. Simon, prepared another charge and was accused of trying to escape the crime. The magistrate president, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni, did not grant him the freedom on bail when his attempted escape escaped in his presence. He ordered that the suspect be held in prison and departed until August 6, 2018, when he will be brought before the court for the offense he had committed before attempting to escape from the court. ...
The suspect was arrested by the police at Igando Division for burglary and attempt to steal before he was caught.
Mr. Mabaoreje was not the only suspect that had tried such in the past, another suspect tried to escape in the same court but he failed, was charged and remanded in prison. It was also gathered that a young suspect was brought to Ogba Magistrates court; he jumped from the court’s three storey building and died on the spot in his attempt to escape.
It was gathered that after Mr Mabaoreje was re-arrested, he said was afraid to go to prison and that was why he tried to escape but failed.
He said he was told that the prison was a death trap and that he may not survive if he was taken there. However, his claim was debunked by prison officials who said that the prison was not all that terrible as it remained a correction centre with modern facilities.FOLLOW fb.me/jaiyeorieblog m.me/jaiyeorieblog ... spill TEA ABOUT THE TOPIC ABOVE....
