'Governor Fayose escapes plot to assassinate him after he was hit by teargas canister and he's currently receiving treatment' - Media aide

Lere Olayinka the media aide to Governor Fayose of Ekiti State has said his boss narrowly escaped a plot to assassinate him after he was hit by teargas canister and he's currently receiving treatment.

'Gov Fayose, a few minutes ago escaped plot to assassinate him by Fayemi and his APC. He is currently receiving treatment at govt house clinic after he was hit by teargas canister fired by the policemen. The armed policeme still laying siege at the Govt House'.

 Fayose himself tweeted that the entrance to Ekiti Government House was blocked by gun wielding mobile policemen saying, 'the plan is to prevent our victory walk slated for today but we will remain undeterred'.
