11-year old Gabrielle Goodwin is the CEO and founder of her own company, GaBBY Bows, a hair barrette company.




In 2011, Gabrielle's mother was nervous that her daughter had always lost hair clips at school. Their pastor saw the tweets and told him it was a market he could break. Gabrielle's mother had no intention of working on the idea that she had developed a health care career policy but Gabrielle, who at that time was worried about her mother when she was about to arrive full and when their own business starts. With Gabrielle's patience, her mother decided to work here. She and her daughter will examine the bows and notes on their similarities and differences, they get solutions to their problems and then work on colors and names for the bows.
When that was done, Gabrielle's mother, not sure that she wanted to be a businessman who wanted to sell the design but was rejected by a major company, and pushed it into making a copy that she could not tell her daughter that it was impossible make and sell the bow. Thus, in 2014, GaBBY Bows was founded. They make double faced, double snap barrette hair accessories, claiming to be the first of its kind. They got orders from 50 states in nine countries, recording huge sales.


GaBBY Bows was one of 15 national finalists for the 2015 US Small Business Administration InnovateHER Competition, a 2016 SCORE and Sam’s Club American Small Business Champion, and the national 2016 SCORE Diverse Business of the Year.


Gabrielle was also a 2017 national finalist for Black Enterprise Teenpreneur of the Year.
