Adegboyega Oyetola has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Osun State governorship election coming up in September.
Oyetola was one of 17 aspirants who participated in the exercise which took place in the 332 wards across all the Local Government Areas of the state.
Other aspirants in the race included the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuff, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Dr Najeem Salam, Ezekiel Oyemomi, Saka Layonu, Abdulgafar Amere, and Kunle Adegoke.
Oyetola is the current Chief of Staff to the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and among his main contenders for the state house is the popular Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who threw his hat in the ring on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
