5 male teachers of the Polytechnic Staff School, Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State, have been dismissed for allegedly impregnating a SS3 female pupil, identified simply as Sa’adatu.
Pregnancy called public attention, which motivated the school leadership to establish a committee to investigate the issue with the victim who was unable to identify who was responsible for pregnancy among the teachers.
After deepening in the scandalous affair, the committee sent its report on Monday and recommended that all five teachers identified as students' lovers be discarded.
“The management has dismissed the teachers and the victim has also been expelled from the school.
“Each of the teachers confessed that they had sexual relationship with the victim separately.
“The concerned teachers were sacked, while a male pupil, who was discovered to be her boyfriend, was also expelled,” the source said.
The school vice-principal, Mallam Oumar Woulandakoye, who confirmed the incident, stated that the parties involved had appeared before the school management board.
“I will advise that you wait for the final decision of the board because I just received their memo now that they are going to sit on the matter.
