Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho is the youngest stopper in Russia for to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Uzoho is selected alongside Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa as goalkeeper in the final team of 23 coaches of Gernot Rohr for the summer tournament. Ezenwa is the number 1 in the country, as Carl Ikeme of Wolverhampton Wanderers was ruled out with acute leukemia in June 2017.   Uzoho, born on October 28, 1992, will be 19 and 229 days at the start of the World Cup in Russia and will become the youngest goalkeeper to play in a FIFA World Cup tournament, if the goal of the opening of Nigeria against Croatia on Saturday (June 16) is selected.
