The Vice Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Professor Asaju raised an alarm while presenting the Interdisciplinary discourse at 74 of the University of Ibadan, Postgraduate school entitled "Religious undercurrents in the evolution of education in the Global Context" says that the federal government of Nigeria seems uncomfortable a huge brain drain which will make many Nigerians die in the absence of qualified medical doctors.
The professor of Christian theology declared that while religion was being deployed by elites as an accelerating tool in Nigeria, education without religious moral teachings was responsible for increasing social habits and terrorism.
He said it's sad that the institutions are doing only graduate in paper qualification and not in the moral well-being that affects society.
He said that while universities are happy to make class holders, the production of the first-class non-characteristic brain will be the value of the production of 'wise demons'.
He said "People cry out of the drainage brain and it appears that Nigeria does not know the implications of what's happening. My daughter-in-law who wrote to make medicine in the UK and engineer told me that all those who came for examinations, 90 percent were doctors from Nigeria. It was a crisis.
When you put in your best, you train a lot of people, you give them just for them to get their certificates and abandon those who die in this country to treat the good. This is a disaster. Woe to a country that is best for her coast to be destroyed to go abroad for the sake of seclusion or dollars to live the life of the noble abandonment of people who are in great need of their expertise, those who invest everything to do with who they are. There is another moral crisis. We have a first class brain that is empty in terms of morality. If our universities continue to develop student talents in first class without character, they will succeed in building a group of intelligent demons. That's why we have a brilliant person but they have no character. They carry the first grade in the classes from universities but placed in workplaces where they have no double discipline of being timely, honesty, responsible, or integrity. It is difficult to find good workers in Nigeria. "speaks of an impending calamity in the Nigeria health sector following exodus of Nigeria-trained doctors into the United Kingdom.
He noted that his son-in-law's recent visit to the United Kingdom indicated that ninety percent of those writing examinations to practice medicine in the United Kingdom are doctors from Nigeria.
