John Legend Explains Son Miles' Iconic Name After Baby Makes IG Debut

John Legend slaying in Gucci, revealed the inspiration behind his son's name. He said they like to give their children names with meaning and history tied to it.

“We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens (for Nina Simone); every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it. So Miles is, of course, is the same name as the great Miles Davis,” the award winning singer said on the red carpet.

Chrissy took a liking to Miles' middle name and that's how they came up with it:

“Chrissy really liked the name Theodore, so we put it all together as Miles Theodore Stephens. When he came out and we hung out with him for a little while we were like, ‘Yeah, he looks like a Miles,’ ” John shared.
