A person introducing himself as a "transhumanist" has over 100 changes made in his body to "change in technology and time". Russ Foxx was fascinated by the aesthetic manipulation when his ears were shed at the age of 5. At the age of 18, he had more than 50 piercings on his face, leading to the nickname "box of touch". Now, the Body had more changes, including the keys of electrical involvement in his hands to unlock his door, scarification on his head, ultraviolet tattoos covering his face, being implanted silicon scarab beetle in his hand, and horns planted on his head.
He now works as a body modification artist, giving clients forked snake tongues, ultraviolet tattoos, and pointed ears. He’s his own walking advert for the massive range of body modifications he can perform.
Russ said:
If there is anything I truly own, it’s my body. I view modifications as the art and my body is the canvas. I define myself as a transhumanist – I evolve with technology and time.Russ is currently working on upgrading the casted silicone horns he had fitted into his head to "lead the shallow and judgmental away". He added that he wants to make sure that people who fancy body modification get it done safely, which is why he began working as a body modification artist.
I’m always updating; always upgrading. Since becoming an adult, I find myself gravitating towards more functional modifications that enhance my natural abilities – such as unlocking my front door with an device I’ve had surgically implanted in my hand.
Though occasionally I undergo modifications just for aesthetic reasons.
He explains:
I started modifying with ear piercings at the age of five soon leading into brightly colored hair. I’m not forcing anyone to like the modifications and I encourage people to ask questions if they’re intrigued.
If you want to ask a modified individual questions, you should always take the same consideration that you would when approaching anybody else in public. Whether its tattoos, piercings or advanced body modifications, do not choose the cheap option. You only get one body, and your health is of the upmost importance.
