Two of her works will be featured and exhibited at a gallery in Dubai.
Modupeola Fadugba is a multimedia artist who works in painting, drawing and installation socially engaged. A self-taught artist, Modupe's inspiration comes from a lifetime of experiences comparing the developed West, where she was mainly raised and educated, with developing countries like Togo and Nigeria, where she comes from. Much of his thoughts are centered on Nigeria. She is concerned about how Nigeria can, beyond ordinary descriptions of development, excel as a nation. His artistic work explores the themes of play, calculation and value in the Nigerian context.
Fadugba shared the news on her Instagram, writing,
“Cover Girls… So honored to have the ladies of the Ibadan Synchronized Swimming team of @iis_ng gracing the cover of @harpersbazaarart this month! Many thanks to Editor in Chief @rebeccaanneproctor for handling the works and narratives with such care and to @gallery1957 and @mg.zakhem for aligning the details swimmingly.”
