US President Donald Trump won an arbitration case against adult film actress Stormy Daniels, said her spokeswoman yesterday, a day after Daniels sued Trump for the right to talk about the "intimate relationship "which she claims to have. A Trump attorney filed the arbitration case against Daniels last week to seek a restraining order to "silence her" and "protect Mr. Trump", his claims in court. Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, said she is taking legal steps to be able to talk freely about her relationship with Trump without fear of legal reprisal. Clifford is among a number of women who have talked about sexual encounters with Trump, who denied the charges. His lawsuit claims that Trump and his lawyer Michael Cohen made a concerted effort to silence her for over a year. According to the lawsuit, Trump never signed a non-disclosure agreement arranged between Cohen and Clifford to keep her quiet about their alleged affair. Trump's failure to sign the "Silence Agreement" renders the pact invalid and she is free to talk about their relationship, the lawsuit says. Clifford's relationship with Trump began in the summer of 2006, shortly after Trump's wife, Melania, gave birth to their son Barron, and lasted until 2007, according to the lawsuit.
