US President Donald Trump has hired Hulk Hogan’s former attorney Charles Harder who won a big payout for a former wrestler who resulted in Gawker's bankruptcy, joined Trump's legal team with his personal lawyer Michael Cohen. Attorneys for US President Donald Trump are looking for $ 20 million (£ 14m) in damages from porn actress says he broke out a non-disclosure deal signed before the 2016 elections. They argue Stormy Daniels breached the agreement at least 20 times. The actress said she had an affair with Mr Trump who started in 2006 and lasted for several months. The lawyer's president Michael Cohen said he paid $ 130,000 of his own money to stay quiet. This was the first time that President Trump was directly involved in the case. He was "completely denied" the alleged incident. The lawyer acting for Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, this month filed a lawsuit that would drive to scrap the non-disclosure agreement. Michael Avenatti said filing a law firm representing the president was "unprecedented" and "another oppression of tactics" against him. The filing request also required changes from the state to the federal court. Clifford said the 2016 agreement was invalid because it was not signed by Mr Trump. Mr Cohen acknowledges his payment of $ 130,000 (£ 95,000) privately, but Mr Trump or his company is a party to the transaction.
