The skeletal remains of a 23-year-old woman who disappeared in Texas in 2014 were found along a creek this week. Plano's chief of police, Gregory Rushin, made the announcement Thursday, a day after the sinister discovery of Christina Morris by a construction team near Anna. Morris, who lived in Fort Worth, had been missing since August 30, 2014. A surveillance video had shown her and her boyfriend Enrique Arochi entering a parking garage at a high-end commercial complex in Plano. His vehicle was found in the garage.
“I know our daughter is in a better place,” Jonni Hare told reporters, according to NBC. “I know she’s in heaven. I know she’s proud of us for not giving up. Please understand that we need to grieve. We need to heal. We need our time.”

The police will arrest Arochi, who was later convicted of kidnapping and sentenced to life imprisonment. Arochi, who turns 27 next week, is not eligible for parole until 2044. He was found guilty on the basis of genetic evidence, but he maintained his innocence.
