In civilization and technology at this time, Osun's state has been doing idol worship.
The traditional leader in the state of Osun banishes idol worship and here's why
A well-known traditional leader and First Class of Yoruba headed by Osun State, The Iwoland Olive, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi adopted the full regalia of Emir and expelled his regular Yoruba dress. The monarch also brought in some idols, particularly famous in the palace from the beginning. Oba Akanbi moved the famous idol to the palace to another shrine in town and resettled it there.
In a conversation with the Daily Trust, the traditional leader said that Iwo is home to Islamic scholars and he can be regarded as an Emir.
The monarch said that his decision to ratify Emir regalia was to show the world that Iwo was an ancient Muslim town and the helm was part of his office equipment. "When I made the Iwo Olive, I was turbaned.
This is because Iwo is an ancient Islamic town. Iwo is known as' geri malami, meaning: the house of scholars. Thus, this regalia is suitable for me as the Oluwo.
Because of the reason why he drove idols and moved the famous idol to the palace, Oluwo said that the palace was only for the monarchy and the idol could not share his space at the palace.
"As a king, I was higher in idols and did not compete with me in the palace. I have taken that idol my palace to where it belong. Those who may want to worship the idols can meet them there, not in my palace. As you can see, there is a mosque in the palace and we can worship the God Almighty there”.
Meanwhile, the monarch has been the talk of town as his decision has been the major discussion across the state.
However, majority of the indigenes of Iwo applauded the Oluwo for his action and pledged their full supports for him.Räägi sõbrale... #AFRICA ... spill TEA ABOUT THE TOPIC ABOVE.... Easy on Shade #jaiyeorie
